If you are thinking of starting a user group for all sorts of free
software (that could be *BSD, GNU/*, or even Apache / X / whatever)
consider starting an FSUG. Contact gnu@xxxxxxxxxx and find out how you
can start an FSUG in your area. In brief, an FSUG will not only give
technical support for Free Software users but will also discourage the
use of non-free software. If you think it is important that people
should realise the ills of non-free software consider starting an FSUG.
A GLUG (GNU/Linux User Group) would be fine too but that will narrow
down the users in your group (as was said earlier, *BSD, GNU/^(linux)
