i have no problem working with unix filesystem hierarchy. i felt it will be
easier for windows users to migrate to linux without any difficulty if the
file system abstraction is similar to windows.does any distribution provide
such abstraction ?
Most newbies migrating from Windows should be having bulk of their
HD devoted to FAT. Distros like Mandrake will automatically configure
fstab to mount them on /mnt/win_c, /mnt/win_d, ... Isn't that
enough?
If you feel a better idea, submit a bug report to the distro developers.
