Now I can tell my

They are prone to being too lazy to enter the root password to install
package(s), like most normal desktop users.
Don't ask these kind of lazy friends to get into Unix for the namesake
of ease of use. Unix is different, please let it be what it is.
I was a Ubuntu user and recently switched to Debian, the main reason is
because of Ubuntu's release cycle and its care towards the packages. I
was hit by an acpi bug in the kernels ubuntu shipped for the last two
releases(from 8.04 to 9.04). It paused the boot process whenever the
laptop runs in battery. I followed that bug for 1 year and there is no
cure for it, even from the kernel developers itself.
Finally I put myself into Debian. Stable packages and Robust Bug
Tracking System which works straight from the command line(reportbug and
querybts) teaching me what 'Debian Way' is all about.
It may be a good idea to compromise unix's philosophy for windows crowd
or creating OS for human beings, but deriving bad policies, putting
packages without proper testing will produce more haters(like me)
towards that distro.
This is not the first time fedora is in controversy regarding security.
Recently fedora's repositories were compromised because of bad
signatures in its packages, check the below link.

Finally, my kind request to all, stop converting those windows users to
unix. it will make good distro like fedora to think about them rather
than concentrating on FOSS Development. people who are really
interesting in unix will definitely come to unix.
Cheers,
Mohan R
