Dear friends,
We celebrated software freedom day at asiad colony ,chennai on sept 16 06.
It was indeed a fabulous meet we had. Our team had good chemistry at work. I
thank the team ,Mr.Saravanan (ASAN) for sponsoring this event through his
organisation (financially,morally and physically). Mr. Raman ,
Volunteers from JEC and Mr.Saravanan were on with heavy preparation right
from tieing the banners to organising the event,The office assistant of
lynus academy needs a kudos for his contribution, guyz showed excellent
character of work culture.
We started the event by 6:25( 5 minutes before the intended time) with
Tamizh thai vazhuthu( The prayer song) anchored by Jaya Engg College
volunteers, Mr. Raja and myself played a skit as a lay man asks questions
regarding with open source to a consultant. I played the role of a lay man
and Raja lived in the role of an opensource consultant. The program went on
with demos for kids, We had visitors from UK and USA, Mr.Raman gave
inspirational explanatory speech on opensoure. The Twin brothers of ilugc
Mr.Srinivasan and Mr.Bala Vignesh demoed the 3d desktop. SRM college
student gave a demo on open office. we had quizzes for the audience.I gave
the vote of thanks and with National anthem we summed the festival.
We had a good time. I will upload the photos in a day or two, I thank the
oppurtunity and the team for the contribution and commitment.
