Dear ILUGC members,
We have implemented Endian in an Organization and everything is working
fine but we are not able to do the following:
1. We need to block rediff but not rediffmail as some of the users need to
check the mail on rediffmail accounts.
2. Just like the above, we need to do it for Yahoo also but yahoo mail
should be accessible to the users
3. How to block Facebook with https? We are able to block facebook but if
the users are using https://www.facebook.com it is accessible.
We have followed all the steps given by both Endian and pfSense (we have
tried with pfsense also and finally settled for Endian UTM)
We need to get two categories
1. 1st Category : Access only Email and Google Search and Government sites
2. 2nd Category : 1st category + internet access + block social networking
sites and adult content
All this we should be able to achieve with Endian UTM.
If any other open source UTM is able to achieve the above things, we are
ready to switch to that.
We have tried
Zentyal
Endian
pfSense
but found Endian to be very easy in configuring and we are able to achieve
around 75% of our objectives. We are not able to block certain things (as
mentioned above)
