On similar lines, My final year projects is on an Intel IXP425 Processor

It's and ARM based processor and I'd like to know if the same emulator 
can be used. Also I'm running a Snapgear Linux Distro and would like to 
know if that is the only good distro out there or are there any other 
good Distros.
I want support for SCSI, USB and should be able to run Samba/NFS on it.

Any help would be greatly welcome.

gcc cross compiler helps compile my code for the
emulator. 
    

What code? If it compiles fine, test it on the
emulator.
