Is the installation of Ubuntu on the ELCOT laptop generic enough that
the users will _not_ get fobbed off with:

The groups that you are listed are for Ubuntu specifically.
However, if the answer is "yes" then the best thing one can do is:
- to point the ELCOT laptop users to these channels
- ensure that someone who is sympathetic to their needs is present
in these support channels
