i installed the fonts using apt-get install ttf-indic-fonts
but still not able to type in Tamil i even changed the layout going to
keyboard preferences...
and when i try to open this blog http://amachu.net/blog/?p=109.. the tamil
words are not displayed its showing some different patterns to me like boxes
and shapes.....
