The driver needs some kernel headers. There are two ways to obtain the
kernel headers: 1. by installing the kernel-headers package 2. by
installing the kernel-source package. bunzip2 the .bz2 file.

bf is 'boot floppy'. the boot floppy kernel is the same kernel that
your installer used (bf2.4 is another image which uses the 2.4 kernel
instead of 2.2 (I think only on woody and above, dont remember seeing
it on potato, i guess 2.2 was the standard back then... :) )
