other similar Linux sites are using ads as well. The posting was
made with a "commercial" tag.
I dont see any of the above lines having the slightest hint of the endeavor
being wrong.
What was suggested was : a directory listing portal with subscription model
is NOT a FOSS business model; also, using ads in directory listing portal is
NOT a FOSS business model.
Btw, there is an interesting thread going on in catalog-sig DL on something
similar, where pypi data is being used by 'third parties'.
