Dear LUGs,
I tried clonezilla live CD (iso - 86MB size) for making
clone desktop Hard Disk. It is using gentoo linux core for booting. It have
an Good GUI mode interface with less graphics and very flexable user
interface.
By default, it has an option to make an shrink the
partition size to make clone and also having option for grub boot loader
reinstallation. You may use original grub of source also.
It has an facility to make clone with remote drives ( i am
not tried it).
It takes nearly 15 minutes for cloning 160Gb Hard disk
(SATA) in 512MB ram AMD64 bit PC. it makes auto shrick the partion having
size of 40GB to make fit in target hard disk with brief messages and also
made necessary alteration in filesystem table ( /etc/fstab )
Only thing is more questions ( intraction for making setting for cloning)
before start the job. But it is required.
