Hi,
I am burning a CD on RedHat linux 7.2 using mkisofs and cdrecord in
multi session mode.
Every next time cd burning consumes some additional disk space( around
16-17 MB).
But when i try to see the CD used space, it returns only files size
which are written onto it.
More Over, if i have written an updated file(same name) which is already
written onto CD, it counts only new file size.
Is there any way to find out the exact CD burnt space?
I did one experiment:
made a loop and wrote 500KB file onto a blank CD.
Loop successfully executed 48 times and there after stopped as CD was full.
When i checked CD size, it displayed 500KB.
One More Query:
How can we read the CD label on Linux?
I have used -V option in mkisofs to give CD label. I am able to see this
label on Windows but not in Linux as it displays /mnt/cdrom.
Any command/configuration?
