OS: Ubuntu 10.10 (Meerkat Maverick)
When i try to install any package via " Ubuntu Software Center " , it will
usually ask for Authentication for non-root users.
But now a days it doesn't wait for User Inputs and the Authentication window
appears and shakes itself and say authentication failure and i get some
messages like below:
" An error occurred while checking for authorizations:
Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include:
the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy
blocked the reply,
the reply timeout expired,or the network connection was broken.
You may report this as a bug. "
Note: Few days back i unknowingly changed the permission for /usr directory
using chmod command and then i solved that problem by using live cd and
logged in as root and changed the permission to 755.
Please can any one provide me the solution for my above problem?
