We are writing today to share that you can now find Impractical Labor on
Instagram @impracticallabor !
Some of you are probably like, what took you so long?
And some of you are probably like, ILSSA, nooooo!!! Don’t do it! Stay off the
druggggz!!!!!
Like many of you, we’re technology skeptics. But as we strategized about how we
could better learn about our members and enable them to more easily find and
connect with each other, Instagram seemed the best tool for the job. We realize
not all of you are on Instagram, and we completely respect that, and aren’t
asking you to join. As you might expect, Instagram will be adjunct to ILSSA’s
other means of publishing and communication, not replacing it.
We’ll be using Instagram for documenting the 10th Annual Festival to Plead for
Skills on Saturday July 7 . . . more on that very very soon! But whenever we
use Instagram for ILSSA projects, we’ll always include ways for you to
participate without it.
Those of you on Instagram: we hope that you will follow Impractical Labor so we
can follow you. And we hope you will check out our followers from time to time
to see if you can discover new friends, allies, and collaborators!
