Hello all!
If you are receiving this email it is because I have already contacted you
about being a part of this project or simply because I think you are kind!
I am inviting you to be a part creating of an archive of self-directed
documentation of giving or receiving care to be a part of a ‘Care x Labor’
series to be held at Window Room (studio in southwest philly) both
virtually and (if we can) in our physical space as a part of the
Philadelphia's Free Fringe Festival. ‘Care x Labor’ looks at how one of the
most essential evolutionary traits of survival has become one of the most
undervalued forms of labor. We will be announcing this series on May 10th
(Mothers Day!) through Window Room TV and will present a few of these
videos along additional programming.
I am interested in observing the innate choreography/scores of Care.
Natural patterns, shapes, melodies, pas de deux, textures. I am interested
in how we choose to present care, what angle the camera is, if there is any
visual at all, how close we are allowed. I am interested in a shared,
community-driven library documenting how the we care for each other and
ourselves.
What does stretching my body sound like, and does it harmonize well with
your cooking sounds?
I think there is much to uncover, remember, and honor surrounding care
giving and receiving. And I find capitalism has stripped or at least
muddied our relationship with Care.

care and it forced me to get off the computer and stop - just what I
