Liebe IG-RY-Mitglieder,
gern bin ich der Interest Group RTTY beigetreten und bedanke mich
für die Aufnahme. Ich bin 60 Jahre alt und seit 1978 "in der Luft" mit
Ausnahme einer TVI/QRL-Pause von 10/2008 - 06/2016.
Von meiner Begeisterung für die ersten Verbindungen mit einem alten Siemens-
Fernschreiber bis zu RTTY-Kontakten und Contesten mit Computerunterstützung
war ich von der Betriebsart RTTY immer begeistert.
In den Jahren meiner höchsten Aktivität 2004-2008 habe ich an einer Vielzahl von
RTTY-Contesten teilgenommen und die meisten von Euch sollten mich in ihren Logs
haben. Damals war Mitglied der DL-DX RTTY Contest Group DRCG
(eine Zeitlang deren Kassenwart), bis ich wegen TVI zur Einstellung meiner
Aktivitäten
gezwungen wurde. Seit 2016 bin ich wieder sehr aktiv und werde meinen
Wiedereinstieg
in RTTY zum DRCG-Contest im Juni haben.
Weil die DRCG über den Contest hinaus nicht mehr "aktiv" ist, habe ich mich
entschieden,
meine Mitgliedschaft in der IG-RY zu beantragen.

Dear Members of IG-RY,
it was a pleasure to join the Interest Group RTTY and I thank you for your
acceptance.
I am 60 years old and since 1978 "on the air" with the exception of a
TVI/QRL-break between
10/2008 and 06/2016.
Starting with enthusiasm for first contacts with my old Siemens-teletypewriter
to the new
computerized RTTY and participation at RTTY-contests I allways was enthused by
the mode
RTTY.
In the years of my highest activity 2004-2008 I joined a lot of RTTY-contest
and most of you
should keep me in your log. At that time I was member of the DL-DX-RTTY Contest
Group DRCG
(some times I was their treasurer), until I had to stop my activities because
of TVI. Since 2016 I am
quite active again and will have my comeback in RTTY during the DRCG-Contest in
June.
Because the DRCG had no more activities beside their contest I decided to apply
the membership
in the IG-RY.
