Hi Scott,
you descibed the bad situation to 100 percent. In my opinion the old and
venerable BARTG breathes in the last moves. Very sad to watch it. 73 es
thanks for two QSO with you.

Hartmut,
I have to agree with you, the exchange is ridiculous. There is no need for UTC time to be sent.
It is just a stupid thing and makes more confusion than anything, especially during bad conditions.
BARTG do not help things in their contests, they don’t promote, the don’t offer Plaques to category winners (only if you pay for them)
There is no interest for many people to take part in them.
It seems to me that the activity is low and gets worse every year.
For a group with thousands of members and friends.. Where are they.?
So I agree with you that it is dusted, they need a fresh input to help to these contest back to life.
Thanks for Qso’s. I went to sleep at 0630 and now will go back and look how things are before Russian DX

More then the bad popagations scares me off the strange exchange like UTC. Why this, this makes no sense in my opinion. Continents as single (mean) muliplier make this competition a lottery. This we told to the BARTG since many years but never we got an answer.
I would like to look forward to having a modern contest with interesting rules. The BARTG contest is dusted.

Hello All,
Propagation is terrible and not lots of people want to hear me
with QRP..
We had big aurora during night, I was watching from here at home
and saw the nice colour in sky, even with street lights, so I’m
sure in dark place it would have been spectacular show.
Hopefully it does not kill the bands more than they are already!
Good luck to all and hope to see you on bands.
Tnx DQ1IGRY for 80m Q ;)
