Hi All,

Most of you received your own copy of this invitation. Please let me know
by 5pm on Thursday if you are coming so that I can RSVP for the IEEE @ VU.
I will also be sending this on to the rest of the members tonight. This
sounds like a great event!

April 8, 2003

The Executive Committee of the IEEE Philadelphia Section seeks your company
aboard the historic Battleship New Jersey for its Annual Student Night. The
change in venue this year is in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the
Philadelphia Section.

Anchored along the Camden Waterfront, opposite Center City, Philadelphia,
this floating museum offers a glimpse of the last 60 years of U.S. naval
history, and of the evolution of electrical and electronic technology over
that period. Please see for more detail.

The schedule for the evening is:

4:30, 5:00 and 5:30 pm
        Tours of the Battleship

6:15 Buffet Dinner in the Petty Officer's Mess

7:15 Presentation of Student Awards and Recognitions

7:45 A talk on 'The Battleship's Original Electrical and Electronic

8:30 Adjournment

We hope that you will join us for an interesting and awesome view of the
U.S. Navy's most decorated battleship - a ship that was built at the
Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. Consider making this a "Branch Event!"

Please mark your calendar, Tuesday, April 8, 4:30 - 8:30 p.m., and kindly
RSVP to me by next Friday, April 4, so that I can provide the caterer with
the proper notice.

Best regards,
Barney Adler
