You probably have two types of licenses from cadence:
1.       Design Entry CIS (formerly OrCAD CIS) standalone
2.       PCB_design_studio (which includes both a PCB Editor (formerly Allegro) 
and a Design Entry CIS license)
 
So, yes, they are the same tool.  Depending upon which one you choose, you will 
be checking out difference licenses.

I've attach a jpg. I've never had to choose which sch tool to use. they seem to 
open the same tool. Anyone know if these two are the same tool?
