The specctra router "Allegro Router" is a conflict reduction router.
I actually love the way it works, compare to other routers in the
market, the conflict reduction feature is the best feature of it.
Let say you have a board fully routed, then you are asked to move a
large pin count IC, you could just move it to the new locations, have
many DRC as a result of the moved component; put the board back on the
router, and it will clean up the DRC's for you, see if you can find
alternate router that can do that for you.

This is pretty fundamental... as a designer you wouldn't cross two
different nets with a short and expect to "get away with it." Why is the
autorouter making this choice. The constraint is set, yet the
autorouter is violating it. Very odd.

CONSTRAINT: Line to Line Spacing
  CONSTRAINT SET: DEFAULT
  CONSTRAINT TYPE: NET SPACING CONSTRAINTS
    Constraint value: 4 MIL
    Actual value: 0 MIL

BTW I am selectively autorouting nets by selection.

But the whole issue to me is that the autorouter is making shorts, and
that just does not make sense.
