[PCB_FORUM] Re: Moving 1000's of RATSNEST TPOINTs

It's always difficult to work around "Bugs". How about saving a jrl of
the Rat-T moves and replaying it?

The replay scripts seem to work 100% better in V15.2 than previous
versions.

Hi Gerry. Yes I have done this. Some will stay, some will move if the
ECSet is updated/modified.

There is also a bug in the last couple of ISRs that with some ECSets if
the net is partially routed and you assign a fixed_T_tolerance it causes
the ECSet mapping to fail, which in turn removes the rat-t due to the
mapping error, then you audit the ECSet it will pass but the rat-t's
have been replaced and have moved back to their default location. Then
I have to move them again.

Chris,

After you place your T-Points, select rat-ts in find filter then Edit
Properties > FIXED_T_TOLERANCE <value> 0 MIL.

I have done this and it keeps the rat-Ts in place.

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] Moving 1000's of RATSNEST TPOINTs

Hi All. I've got an extremely dense board with many different complex
topologies. I want to move the rat-t's to their Physical Instantiation
which is a via. They need to be placed to the exact same location as
the via to the same accuracy as the board units (ie if the via is at
12004.39 8980.05 then I want the rat-t at that exact same point). This
is very time consuming and I end up having to keep doing it over and
over if the ECSet is modified.

Does anyone know of a skill routine of some other way to have the
tpoints attach to the vias automatically? Or if you can pick the via and
have the rat-t snap to that point. Currently I have to show element the
via, copy the via location, select and move rat-t, x paste the location,
over and over and over.

Any help suggestions would be appreciated.
