This was reported by customers to Cadence as openGL became more widely adopted.
The next release will have a marked improvement in striping of any line width
at any zoom level.

Hi Mike,
You are absolutely right on all accounts. I guess I would like the "Best of
both worlds"?

With Open GL Disabled, displays my solid positive plane as seen below. (Not
good)
With OpenGL Enabled, there is really nice transparency, solid
planes...everything is great except..... no "Candy Striping".
Looks to me like it is broken.
I go back and forth depending on planes or highlighted nets. Kind of
disheartening.

Thanks for your reply. Much appreciated.

Regards,
Mark

Hi Mark,

If you disable OpenGL and unset DISPLAY_NOHILITEFONT you should be able to see
the old "candy stripe" type of highlighting when using the Highlight command
from the Display Menu.

The Highlight command from the Display Menu will only highlight items based on
the Temporary highlight settings (one color).

The Assign Color command from the Display Menu will function like the Highlight
command by checking "Highlight pattern" under the Options Tab.

The key is to disable OpenGL to get the old "candy stripe" type of highlighting
and checking "Highlight pattern" under the Options Tab while in Assign Color to
get the type of highlighting you were use to seeing.

Hope this helps,

color as before.

We have Allegro 16.3
The assign color hilights a net, but I can not see the original trace color.
I have selected and de selected the Setup / User Preferences / Display /
Hilight display_nohighlightfont setting.
In previous versions, I could set up to see a dashed line on a hilighted
nets original color.
I also tried disabling OpenGL. Same result.

Thanks,
  Mark
