Richard,
Mine seems to work without having to copy the .txt files to the project
directory. Having the .txt files in the C:\Program
Files\Fabmaster\cdc2fab\config\ seems to work fine. Go back a recheck
your script files path again to be sure it is typed correctly.
Tony

Hello Gary,

Edited the parts.txt.

Set "Extraction Tool" path. Set "Script Files" path.

Went so far as to add "C:\Program Files\Fabmaster\cdc2fab\config\" to
System Variable Path.

Added ".txt" to System Variable Pathext.

Need some more luck, any further recommendations?

Thank you,

Richard

Hey Richard,

Yeah, FABmaster has a way of biting you, especially if you haven't used
it for a while, or when you change to a new release of Allegro.

1) Install FABmaster, then, if I remember correctly, for 15.x, you
need to edit the "parts.txt" file (typical path "C:\Program
Files\Fabmaster\cdc2fab\config). In this file, if present, remove these
last three lines:

COMP_RATED_CURRENT

COMP_RATED_POWER

COMP_RATED_VOLTAGE

2) Now, launch FABmaster ("Cdc2fab.exe"). Then in the small
CDC2FAB... window, click File -> Configure. The "Extraction Tool" path
should be set to your Cadence directory where Allegro is loaded, down to
the "bin" directory to find the file "extracta.exe". The "Script files"
path should be the path from Step 1) above to the "config" directory.

Good luck!

Subject: [PCB_FORUM] FABMaster Version 4.2.D

Greetings,

I haven't done a PCB in Allegro for a while and have mostly re-invented
the process.

However, when running FABMaster Version 4.2.D, it cannot locate the
Script files.

Message: "No match for 'Parts.txt' in the search path."

I have tried the default path, and a more local path.

Is this a System Variable Issue (be kind, I haven't done this for a
while!)?

Thank you,
