Gene,

There is no problem having and using both - If you use The "Viewer Plus"
and also autosave there could be conflicts. But not the 'Free Viewer"

Options/Find/Visibility

Regarding the viewer... I seem to recall in the past that one should
not install the viewer if you have the regular tool installed... the
viewer seemed to overwrite something. Is this still true? What is
overwritten? Is there an install order if you need to be able to run
both?

I would like the viewer to use from time to time without using my
limited routing licenses, and some of my users need to be able to view
designs from laptops when they are not connected to the "home office"
for network license access.

Thanks

        Jean,

This is what you need to do:

If you are running both Allegro and Allegro viewer you will need
to edit your allegro.ini file.
and Delete the Allegro Viewer Section

If you are only running the viewer - you can delete or rename
you allegro.ini file

        Regards,
        Gerry

        Hi all,

We have a customer that has just loaded the 15.2 viewer. When he
brings boards up they come up OK, but the Options/Find/Visibility tabs
usually seen at the right of his screen are missing. I looked in the
viewer to see if you could undock them like you can in Allegro, but it
doesn't appear you can. Does anyone know where else this portion of the
screen might be hiding?
        Thanks,
        Jean
