Hello Dharma,

we did leadfree soldering tests with our board assembler and he told us we have
not to change the land patterns.
I also visited a few workshops and there I got the same information.
Hope this helps.

Best Regards,
Rupert

Betreff: [PCB_FORUM] lead free land patterns

Hello Everyone,
I am curious as to what others are doing with their land patterns now that lead
free compliance is becoming an issue. Are you not worrying until a customer
asks? Or taking the pre-emptive approach? Are you planning on using the new
IPC7351 or creating your own rule of thumb (based on info from other sources).
Do you plan on keeping separate libraries or trying to "optimize" one pattern
for both? So far we have not had to address this but I would like to have an
idea of what I am up against before the proverbial fan accident.
Thanks in advance,
Dharma
