Dear icon-user mailing list member,
this message confirms that you are a member of the new icon-users
mailing list. This list has been moved to freelists.org due to
increasing problems with its previous provider (yahoogroups).
Since you were a member of the original icon-users mailing list you
have been automatically subscribed to the new one. From now on, all
icon-user mailing list messages should preferably be sent to the new
list address icon-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxx instead of the old one. You are
advised to update your e-mail client's configuration accordingly.
For instance, if you have set up a mailing list in MessengerPro,
choose Choices... from the icon bar menu, click on mailing lists,
select the icon-user entry (bearing in mind that you could have named
it differently), click on Edit... and amend the Address field to
icon-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
You will also want to update the filter you used to filter the mailing
list messages into a separate folder. You can filter either on the To:
field containing icon-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxx (in MessengerPro you would
add asterisk before and after, i.e., *icon-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxx*) or,
even better, the freelists-specific List-Id: field containing
icon-users.freelists.org (please note the dot instead of the "@" sign
and please note that the field contains additional things, so, again,
you would filter for *icon-users.freelists.org* in MPro).
If you use a different e-mail client, (e.g., Pluto), the procedure is
similar. In case of doubt please ask on your e-mail client's mailing
list.
The new web interface for the list can be found at:
//www.freelists.org/list/icon-users
There, you can view the list archive, subscribe, unsubscribe or switch
to vacation mode to temporarily suspend message delivery. As mentioned
above, you are already subscribed so it is unlikely that you will need
the web interface right now. The above URL is also mentioned in the
footer of every message sent to this list.
If you would prefer being subscribed with a different address, then
this is easy to achive: Simply subscribe your new address and
unsubscribe your old address.
