That's somewhat true. All software is free for the first year. The idea is
that you purchase the agreement sometime within the first year. If you wait
until the year totally expires, then it costs more than $75, so don't wait!

after you've owned your unit for a year. The first year is included, after
that, it's $75 for future software upgrades.
