Hello,

I will enter this issue in to our system, to get the media player to turn
off when it finishes something. For now, you should be able to use the
sleep timer to get the Icon to turn off. Give it a try and let us know if
it still does not turn off.

Thanks,

Subject: [icon-discuss] media player, battery drainage (BUG)

Hello,

Icon V. 0.9.4

I've noticed a serious bug with the Icon related to the media player. This
bug has been around for a while--at least since 0.81.

the Icon does not honor the automatic shut down timer after an audio file
has completed playing. So, if I happen to fall asleep while a 40-minute
podcast file is playing, the battery is drained completely by the time I
wake up several hours later. the battery drainage appears to continue at
the rate that it did while playing a media file. I haven't done extensive
testing because I'd rather not destroy my battery but I can if you'd like.
It is not a single-occurrence. It's happened to me several times.
