And, if you decide to change the network you bridge with, you probably should delete the bridge you've already set up. ----- Original Message ----- From: Yerba Bruja To: icon-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, March 21, 2008 4:12 PM Subject: [icon-discuss] Re: bridging the Braille plus and my pc Thanks Chase. I'll try to do this again a little later in the evening. I'm wondering though if the fact that the laptop is connected to the Internet via the sprint wireless aircard is hampering the connection bridge, as after windows connected the levelstar land link I briefly saw some message indicating that my local area network would not be strong enough for Internet connection. I'm wondering if I'd have better luck were my computer connected via dsl. It is called local area connection 2 or 3. Also, in the control panel/network connections, you press space on one connection, and then hold down the control key while you arrow around. When you find the other connection, press space, after you let go of the control key. Then the bridge connections item will be in the context menu. If that still doesn't work, something is wrong, but I'm not sure what. Chase Crispin Administrator and moderator of the Blind Mobile Tech (BMT) blog, and soon to be website! I installed the usb drivers on the laptop, and when I connected the braille plus to the machine via the usb, I turned off wireless, pressed select button at the usb connection, followed the instructions of the windows hardware wizard to install the levelstar land link, (which does not appear on the network list even though I got a message saying the installation was complete, and followed the instructions you ofered about opening the control panel, selecting network connection, highlighting the internet connection that I wanted, and pressing the context menu key. The bridge connections option does not appear.
