I have a similar drive with a one gig size which I was never able to get to
work properly with the Icon. It is a U3 Smart drive. I figured it wouldn't
launch, but I thought it migh at least open up for me, but no such luck.

I have a Sandisk cruiser and it works fine with the Braille Plus.
I've noticed that some thumb drives fit very, very tightly in the USB port.
If all Sandisk cruisers have the same design; the side that has the push out
bar, or the texture should be on the same side as the texture on the
interface cable. You will notice that one side of the cable where the USB
port is located is quite smooth. Make sure that the Sandisk is oriented the
same as the cable; smooth sides and textured sides matching. Then it should
fit and work fine.
Of course, it won't launch the "launch" program on the cruiser.

Is it possible to plug in a sandisk cruiser thum drive into the Icon?
I tried using cable that came with the Icon, but couldn't get it to
fit. Do I need a special adapter?
