Have either of you tried using the  2.5mm jack instead of the 3.5mm one? I 
believe the 
2.5mm jack overrides the internal mic, even if the line in does not. You do 
have to select 
internal mic, though, to get the 2.5mm input to work. 

Annoying, I grant you, but it might give you a workaround while waiting for 
Level,star 
to fix the bug.
