Hi Stacey,
Yes to all of your questions.
I just got an Icon to learn on for my job.
It handles mp3 files quite nicely. If they have the artist name, album
name, etc., in the file, you will see that on the Icon. You can create
playlists without too much difficulty.
I just down loaded a volume of braille from web braille with the Icon and it
opens and reads it just fine.

If you are used to using BookShare.org with a computer, you will really like
the way the Icon handles BookShare. It is very easy to down load and read
books and Newspapers/Magazines from BookShare.

By the way, I down loaded the braille file from Web Braille with the Icon
without a keyboard plugged in. It would be faster, of course, with a
keyboard. The model I am using is not the Braille plus, so it doesn't have
the extra braille keys. I have not seen that one as yet.

I hope this is helpful.

Richard

Hi, My name is Stacey Robinson and I'm thinking of purchasing th eIcon
Braille Plus from APH.

I am trying to decide between the bookport II when it comes out or th icon
braille plus. I want to be able to listn to books from booksahre or web
BRaille. CAn you use the Braille Plus with web Braille?
I also want to be able to load mp3 files on to which ever thing I buy and
play music. Is this easy to do with the braille plus? Does the incon
braille plus have a time or stopwatch of somekind?
Thanks,

Hi,
A huge thank-you to those that recommended the Sandisk Mobile Mate SAID!
Got mine
from Amazon.com yesterday and it meets my needs perfectly! The hardest part

of the process
was extracting it from the hard plastic packaging it came in. Once that was

done, inserting the
card and transfering files was a breeze! Thanks again!

Debbie
