Both accounts use the same inbox. If you didn't get it yet, perhaps it hasn't
gone through the gmail server? the fact that you did not get an error is a
good sign.
looks like you might be good to go.

  OK Jenny,

I think I finally might have it. I have two e-mail accounts set up and my
GMail one is not my default account. Where would I go to see the inbox of my
GMail account? I sent myself a test message to my GMail account and since I
didn't get an error message, I'm assuming that it was downloaded. In the inbox,
I can only see the messages that were sent to my default account.

  Thanks.

  Milissa

Yes the colon is part of the server name, it indicates that the rest is the
port number, and is made using dots 1, 5, and 6 in computer braille or rather,
the same dots that make up a w h sign in grade 2.

Hang in there, we'll get you set up yet.

      Hi Jenny,

I did not have my full e-mail address in the user name. I fixed that as
well as re-entered my password. Still have trouble connecting. I have a
question about something in your previous e-mail. You said to enter
"pop.gmail.com:995" into the incoming server field. Is the colon separating the
pop.gmail.com and the 995 supposed to be entered into the field as well? If so,
what dots make up a colon in computer Braille?

      Thanks.

      Milissa

        melissa,
the only other things i can think of are these: First, remember that
for gmail your username is your full email address, not just the part before
the at-sign as it is with many email clients. You also may try erasing your
password and reentering it. I actually had this problem once as there's no
real way to verify what you're entering, i missed a dot somewhere.

if you think yu already have all of this right, the only other thing I
would recommend doing is to check your account settings on your PC and just
make sure all of the information is exactly the same.

I hope something here solves your problem,
        Jenny

          Hi Jenny,

I followed your instructions and I'm now getting an error message
saying that the Braille plus can not connect to the incoming pop server. I
entered it as you said in your previous e-mail along with the port numbers. Any
ideas?

          Milissa

            Hi Melissa,

Yes, I can both send and receive gmail on the Braille plus with no
trouble. make sure you have entered the pop and smtp ports in to the server
names. incoming server name is pop.gmail.com:995 and outgoing server is
smtp.gmail.com:587. Also make sure you have the incoming server type set to
secure pop3, and the outgoing server type set to smtp with TLS. Finally make
sure to have authentication set to requires outgoing authentication.
            Hope this helps,
            Jenny

              Hello All,

Is it possible to set up a GMail account on the Braille Plus? I
have entered the appropriate GMail information into the account fields on the
Braille Plus and it does not work. Has anyone been able to receive GMail on the
Braille Plus?

              Thanks.

              Milissa
