Hello: This is a know bug that we're working on. You can actually tap the reset button, rather than holding it down as you normally would. If you tap it, in most instances, it should come back on and be just as if it'd never locked up! Pamela Rader, TECHNICAL SUPPORT American Printing House For The Blind 1839 Frankfort Ave. Louisville, KY 40206 PHONE: 1-800-223-1839, Ext. 307 >>> Reed.Poynter@xxxxxxxxx 12/31/07 03:20PM >>> Hello to the List, So, you've turned the Braille+ off, locked the keys and stuffed it into your pocket. A while later, you take it out of your pocket, unlocked the keys and hit cancel to turn it on and nothing happens. "How come?!", you scream. The only way you can get it working again is with the reset button. This is what happens to me: I hit the Cancel key to turn the Braille+ off, I move the Lock Keys Slide to the right to lock the keys, I hit the Cancel key to turn the Braille+ back on (forgetting that the keys are locked), I move the Lock Keys Slide to the left to unlock the keys, I hit cancel to turn the Braille+ back on and nothing happens; except if I listen very carefully to the little speaker in the centre, I will hear a little hiss. I have to hit Reset to get the unit back. Is this a known issue? If not, can you create the problem on your Braille+? Or, is it just my unit? Among other things, It suggests to me that the Lock Keys Slide isn't locking all of the keys. Reed
