Review of previous meeting minutes:
Minutes from the March 15, 2021 meeting were reviewed. Lance Wang said there
was a
repeated word "moved moved". Mike LaBonte said the date of the next of the next
meeting
had incorrectly been given as March 15. Bob Ross moved to approve the minutes
with
corrections as noted. Lance Wang seconded. Without objection the minutes were
approved.

checklist
Not done yet.
- Yingxin Sun to provide reduced testcase file for full path error bug.

NEW ITEMS:
Parser bug reports:
Mike LaBonte recapped the previous discussion on BUG227. Randy Wolff agreed
that we had
decided to have IBISCHK perform minimal checking, only calling AMI_Init and
checking the
AMI_parameters_out root name. Bob Ross said the check would result in an error
only if a
new BIRD clarified the root name matching requirement. Bob felt the [Test
Load] and [Test
Data] keywords should not be changed anyway, and that if we did specify
enhanced AMI DLL
testing, a new keyword should be created specifically for AMI. Mike said it
might even go
into the AMI file, not the IBIS file. Bob said a simple AMI_parameters_in
string with
defaults should suffice. He said BUG227 had been classified as a low priority
enhancement. Weston Beal asked what function would be called Mike said
AMI_Init would be
called. Bob asked if it would be for the Tx or Rx. Randy said it would be for
both. He
noted that we would also need to provide an impulse response. Bob said we
would need to
consider what parameters were needed in the AMI_parameters_in string. Randy
said we would
check to see which were required. Mike said some Reserved_Parameters were
required.
Mike asked if we would have an interim IBISCHK development before IBIS 7.2 was
passed.
Bob said we had two serious bug reports. One was a crash bug, but it affected
only source
code users who embedded the checker in their software. Mike said source code
purchasers
had the ability to apply fixes themselves, once the fixes were identified.
Bob said we would have another bug report from John Angulo soon. He expected
to have an
IBISCHK 711 release.
AR: Bob Ross to update BUG227 to note that a minimal change fix was expected
IBIS quality checklist:
Mike LaBonte said the specification and checklist had no checks for IBIS-AMI.
Weston Beal
said power aware models and the new package models also gave us more to check.
He also
said the checklist spreadsheet had checkboxes for each check, but it did not
automatically
calculate the final IQ score.
Tabled topics (no discussion without motion):
- BIRD181.2
- IBISCHK security fixes
Bob Ross moved moved to adjourn. Randy Wolff seconded. Without objection the
meeting ended.
Meeting ended: 12:30 ET
