IBISCHK7 parser development:
- Mike: We looked into BIRD182, relating to NC pins in [Pin Mapping].
- Bob: In 6.1 you get errors with what BIRD182 proposes.
- I did not check on NC pins.
- Mike: IBISCHK6 does indeed gives errors for missing POWER/GND pins.
- Bob: The test will be kept for 6.1.
- Bob: My document about BIRD 189 needs more work before we discuss it.
- There are four types of models now.
- There can be interconnect models without reference, or A_gnd.
- EDA tools will have to resolve some questions.
- Mike: Some examples to illustrate that will help.
- Mike made edits to the BIRD 182 section of the 7.0 parser doc.
- Mike showed Bob's same_rails.ibs file and IBISCHK6 output.
- Bob: It does also give E0612 if an NC [Pin] is not in [Pin Mapping]
- That's the same error used for POWER and GND pins.
- Adding the NC pin to [Pin Mapping] makes the error go away.
- Two NCs are required.
- Bob Ross moved to adjourn. Lance Wang seconded.
- The meeting ended without objection.
