Minutes from the 10 Apr 2007 ibis-atm meeting are attached. ARs:

AR: Todd will fix a few typos in the presentation

The presentation can be found in the Work Archive at
http://www.vhdl.org/pub/ibis/macromodel_wip/. We decided to skip a week,
so the next meeting will be 24 Apr 2007.

Opens:

-------------
Review of ARs:

- Arpad: Review the new macro library files.
  TBD

- Arpad: Write parameter passing syntax proposal for a possible BIRD
  TBD

-------------
New Discussion:

Presentation by three EDA vendors:
- Presented by Todd
- Gives a fairly complete description of the developed approach.
- Slide 11:
  - Arpad asked about "non LTI" assumptions, which seemed backward.
  - Vuk: by assuming non LTI, no special simulator is required
- Slide 13:
  - Ignore_Bits tells simulator that some number of initial bits
    may be garbage.
  - Ignore_Bits is a standard parameter
  - Other parameters may be optional
  - Arpad asked what use non-standard parameters have:
    - Simulator will not know what to do with them.
    - Walter: Strength can be set by user, the model knows what to do.
- Slide 15:
  - Arpad: How many non-linear waveforms are needed when Init() used?
  - Kumar: maybe millions of bits; as many as it takes
  - Walter:
    - Without crosstalk 1 million bits need to be simulated
    - With crosstalk 10 million bits are needed
    - This is not verified.
  - Todd: some semi vendors feel the need to simulate time varying behavior
  - TX GetWave() should have PWL stimulus
- Some color change suggestions for clarity.

AR: Todd will fix a few typos in the presentation

We will talk about drafting a BIRD in the next meeting, in 2 weeks.

Next meeting: 24 Apr 2007 12:00pm PT
