Arpad,

The first option sounds right to me too.

Subject: [ibis-macro] Event triggered PWL sources question
Importance: High

Hello everyone,

I have a question on how the event triggered PWL sources should be
implemented. Please comment ASAP, since I am in the middle of doing
them now and I need your answers right away.

The goal is to have a something vs. time table in the PWL source which
can be reset to t=0 any time an input signal crosses a certain
threshold. So far so good.

Question: What should be the behavior be before the first event occurs?
For example, if the PWL source contains a table that is a waveform
defined for 0 to 2 ns, and the first event occurs at t=5ns, should the
output be the first point of the table up to 5ns, and then start the
waveform, or should the waveform begin at t=0 run its course once, and
then start over at 5ns and at every subsequent event?

Our library does the second one currently, but I think the first
description is the better (or more
correct) one.

Please comment.

Thanks,

Arpad
