Bob M,
Looks good to me.
For BCI_Message_Interval_UI,
“The model maker/protocol designer should choose a value of
BCI_Message_Interval_UI that which is slightly larger than the smallest number
of training UI required per adaptation.”
and
Example:
(BCI_Message_Interval_UI(Usage Info) (Type Integer) (Value 2048)
(Description "Training requires at least 2000 UI per adaptation message”)
Is this correct?
How do we know that it is at least 2000 versus some other number?

Comrades --
Her is a re-scrubbed draft of BRID147.5 which addresses BobR's items above, as
well as what ATM comments I could retain. I also cleaned up some of the
discussion around BCI_Training_UI and BCI_Message_Interval_UI (old
BCI_GetWave_Block_UI)
Changes are referred back to the final draft of 147.4 so we can see everything
we are fixing in toto.
Comments/corrections appreciated and will be worked on ASAP as received. I'd
like to have this ready to refer to the Open Forum by next ATM meeting, if
possible.

Bob Miller

Hi all -
Attached is a draft revision of BIRD147.4 (tentatively updated to 147.5) to
address issues brought up just prior to the vote in the last IBIS Open Forum:
Executive summary:
BIRD147.5 changes BCI_GetWave_Block_UI to BCI_Message_Interval_UI and the Type
of both it and BCI_Training_UI from UI to Integer. It softens the linkage
between it and the EDA-determined AMI_GetWave block_size while retaining the
intended primary purpose of providing a mechanism for the model to inform the
EDA tool of the optimal messaging interval to allow the EDA tool to in turn
manage the AMI_GetWave block_size to optimize the required adaptation time.

Bob
