Yeah, so this one is less visual and more utility. I want to know what the
active window is called because the highlights don't always catch my eye,
but I'd like to save vertical screen space by not including title bars, and
there is plenty of unused space in the workspace bar. I wonder how that
doesn't fit the i3 philosophy?

Not even as optional feature? i don't need it that much but i think it
was nice if you want to save space but in the i3bar there is enough
space.

A feature which I love to see is a marker with a number of windows on
every workspace so I can better 'guess' whats in there.
