It would take a SERIOUS pellet gun - like a Diana or RWS - to take out a
woodchuck. Anything less than a head shot would fail. KGL
It is my understanding that a .22 fired through a plastic soda bottle lined
with steel wool attached to the end of the muzzle makes for a superb
do-it-yourself silencer, or so I am told.

Anyone have a good pellet gun with a scope that I can borrow.
We have a groundhog destroying our garden. My wife was in tears after all the
work she has done. We've caught him a couple of times. He somehow climbs up the
protective fence that we have reinforced and made higher.
I can't run the risk of using a .22 because of the proximity of neighbors.
