Off the top of my head, reduce CPU/Memory use on the system while watching
video. i.e. close/quit out of as many programs that are open as possible. This
includes web browsers.
Also, do you tend to hear your fans spinning up? Could be that the CPU can’t
really handle it, did you go cheap on the system’s processor?

Techno-weenies,
Do any of you have any suggestions for how I can try to improve my computer’s
ability to playback videos like .mp4 files? I know they are being recorded
fine, but when I try to watch them on my computer they are very choppy to the
point that it’s not worth watching them.
Short of buying a new video card, are there any video controls (like buffer
size for example) that I can adjust to help the videos run more smoothly? I
believe my video drivers are up to date.
Video programs that I have include Windows Media Player, QuickTime Player, and
VLC Media Player. Is there a better one for free download?
Thanks very much!
