The robojock handover has always worked the same, the incoming DJ just
interrupts the currently playing track however they see fit. The system
will cross fade in the incoming stream. For a "normal" broadcast (ie.
the 6am breakfast start) I think this is what the DJ does but manually
so it's nothing new. Including the crossover jingle is ultimately going
to do the same thing so it doesn't really give you any benefit.
I think the issue is that this hasn't been communicated ie. that the
for the specialist shows, the handover is different. It's certainly not
in the DJ rules and yet given this is our third broadcast, it's the
first time it's cropped up as a problem which means *somehow* people
know this. I have this feeling I may have mentioned (it's certainly
been in my head to mention it anyway!) it at some point, possibly on
here or a meeting, coupled with the fact that most of the specialist
shows are run by DJ's who are on the committee.
The answer therefore is just to let Katey know that she can just start
at 7pm regardless.

Ok need to move this conversation over to here.
Robojock needs to cut out with the TOTH jingle at 7pm and 6 am,
regardless of how far into the track it is. The oncoming DJ needs to
know when to BUTT in not wait around trying to suss delay times etc.
Especially the specialist shows who may have a program planned to the
second. Please let me know this is possible. Cheers and well done all
