Nick has arranged our next meeting for Monday 9th March.
Same time - 7pm. Same place - The Fishermans club.
Please note:
We are currently waiting to hear from Ofcom about our licence application.
As you may have seen in a previous post, Nick received an email from Ofcom
while he was on holiday saying that we needed to send them the info/answers
that they'd asked for about our compliance officer etc, by Friday 7th Feb. This
was what we discussed at our last meeting.
Because Nick was away he didn't see this email until after he'd returned, so he
wasn't able to reply with Andy Bantock's answers until nearly a week later!
Unfortunately they didn't tell us in their original email that there was a
deadline for the info/answers, only after our meeting, when Nick was away.
So we are now waiting to see what Ofcom are going to do about this.
Will they accept our explanation for the delay in replying? At this stage we
don't know.
I would have thought we'd have heard by now, but Nick is going to wait until
Tuesday & we haven't heard anything from them by then, he will ring Ofcom to
see what the situation is.
Obviously this is a major worry & there is a very real chance that our
application will now be refused because we missed that deadline.
Nick or myself will let you know as soon as we do.
In the meantime I'd suggest that we don't order any t.shirts, mugs etc, just in
case.
