I know I am jumping the gun a bit before the meeting but I needed to get
things in the diary because The Carlisle and bands and artists are getting
booked up so hope this is ok.
- Hastings Rock Fest is booked in for May 24th, 2020. The Carlisle. They will
donate £300 + whatever we get in donations and other sponsorship. I have 6
bands booked so far. Only really room for 1 more band.
- I have taken the bold step to book in the EOB party for Friday May 29th at
the Carlisle because we always leave it too late to book a venue. They will
give us £200. Sounds good to me. We normally get nothing form anywhere.
- I have booked three dates next year at The Carlisle for what I have titled
‘The Hastings Rock Showcase’. This is primarily to showcase new and upcoming
bands and artists. They will pay £150 to us and I anticipate using this for
expenses. Hopefully get a number of artists during an evening. This is
primarily for ‘original’ music acts and hopefully running under the HR banner
will give it a bit of weight and it may generate music for the local music
show. Dates are Fri 24th Jan, Fri 20 march and Fri 25 Sep. This will
essentially replace the HR roadshows but the roadshow can fill in between
bands.
