  I found him;

  Jakob Zigler:
  Born Feb 7, 1880 in Austria, Hungary.
  Died: Dec 6, 1952, Mantua, Portage, Ohio

  He is listed in the family tree of "plimpington5".  She is a DNA match to me; 
a very
weak match, but a match never the less.

  Jacob is the cousin of Katerina Brausch, my grandmother and not my grandfather
Friedrich Hoffmann.

  Katherina's mother was Philippine Pfaff, Birth Abt 1846, Torzsa, Hungary, had 
a
sister named Elizibeth.  Who married Jakob Zigler, the parents of the younger
Jakob Zigler of Cleveland, Ohio.

  Wow, amazing what you can did up with a little info...

  I'll be emailing this plimpington5 to see what info they have on the Plaff's.

This is well known.  Interesting is that as guarantor the cousin
Jacob Zigler (right: Ziegler). There must have been family connections to the 
Ziegler family from Franzfeld (later Cleveland).
Do you know that, have you already done research here?
