*Holmes County Democratic May 9 meeting minutes: *
Meeting was called to order by Ramona Stoner
The Pledge of allegiance followed
*Minutes from the April 18th* meeting were read. Greg S. moved to approve
as read and Liane E. seconded. Motion passed.
*No Treasury report* available. No changes at this time to the account.
*Old Business:*
*Central committee* voted to approve filling the vacancies in Monroe and
Ripley Townships. Phil H. moved to accept the candidates, Judy Y. seconded,
motion passed. Susan Bacon will represent Ripley Township and Suzanne
Watson will represent Monroe Township. Any member interested in
representing your Township on the Central Committee please contact me.
*Solar Light Project*: Members met at the Holmesville Rails to Trails
trailhead. The location will be suitable for solar energy. The existing
kiosk would support the panels, batteries and light unit. The cost of the
unit will be provided by Trail Battery. Permission from the Park District
will be obtained prior to any work. Grants for the project will be
investigated.
*ODP* dues, no further information available.
*Highway Clean up May 21st at 8 AM* Please meet on CR 624 in front of Four
Seasons Landscaping.
*Fair committee* will be established next month.
*New Business: *Library room reserved for our next three meetings will be
on June 6, July 11 and August 15 at 6:00 PM
Liane E. moved to adjourn the meeting; Judy Y. seconded. Motion passed,
meeting adjourned.
