the manual way:

1. establish a connection (e.g. ping6 <peer_hit>)
2. change addresses (e.g. ip addr del/add 3ffe::xx/64)
3. keep pinging and observe mobility happen

You can of course do manual handovers with IPv4, but you may have to add the routes manually (ip route add xx via xx dev ethxx). The non-manual way is to to use whatever GUI tools you linux distro has to connect to a new network (ubuntu has e.g. Network Manager as default).
