Aloha,
The Hawaii Island Consortium is able to reimburse mileage for use of
PERSONAL vehicles to travel to the May 16th Follow-up #2 at the Waikoloa
Marriott. While we still encourage carpooling to reduce our carbon
footprint, we are able to compensate the drivers at the rate of 56 cents per
mile.
Here are the instructions for reimbursement:
1. Before attending the May 16th event, you MUST bring a print out of
a route map that shows the miles from your home address to the Waikoloa
Marriott. There's several ways to do this. Here's one:
- Click this link: https://goo.gl/maps/9jcGc
- In the box at the top left with the Hilo Airport address, type in
your home address instead of the airport
- Make sure the box under it says Waikoloa Marriott
- Click the blue magnifying glass icon attached to the box. This
should update to your route and your miles to Waikoloa. Make sure it does.
- Find the little icon of a printer to the right, probably over the
map picture. Click it and select "text only". This will print your
directions and mileage.
- Bring this print out on May 16
2. We will collect your print outs on May 16 and write a check then to
cover the roundtrip mileage. You will sign for the check then too.
