Something like this has always been a concern of mine as a single female
working out at the gym at odd hours. I'm really glad that it was just a phone
and nothing happened to her but I'm sure she's very shaken up. Let me know if
there's anything that I can do.
And I would like our community to talk about measures that can be taken to
prevent something like this in our common areas. We could start by talking
about those new Nest cameras that are like $100. Of course that doesn't
prevent anything but it is an added layer of security for a very affordable
price.

Now I'm wondering how he got in the gym. He must have jumped the gate some
type of way. I'm glad she's ok and they caught the guy. If you find out more
details please let us know.

Update: They caught the thief. APD responded quickly and actively followed
the find my iPhone signal until the suspect was found. Megan got her phone
back and the thief was arrested.

Oh no this is so disturbing to hear. Glad that she was unharmed and it was
just the phone that was taken. I would suggest people who have the cars
parked on the street should move them inside the complex to be on the safe
side. Makes you wonder if this is the person that breaks into cars on the
street.

Just a heads up that my girlfriend was just robbed in the gym. She was in
the gym when a man walked in and was acting strange. When she asked him
what he was doing he said he was robbing her and asked for her phone. He
threatened her with a dumb bell and she gave him the phone. They then
exited out of the opposite doors. The police are currently tracking the
thief using find my iPhone but wanted to make the neighborhood aware. No
one was hurt and the police are currently there. Hopefully they find him
with the tracking.
